Beyond my fascination with food, I am first and foremost a writer.
As Jay Rayner intimates in his letter to aspiring food writers, I firmly believe that if you enjoy my work, it is probably not because of how much I know about the food I eat or cook, or even necessarily about the places I visit, it is because of the way I write and how it affects you as a reader.
Therefore, if you consider this website an overarching portfolio of my style and technique, one focused on gastronomy as my primary interest and niche, I would hope it conveys that my skills and talents are not limited to this site’s content and are evidently transferable to others.
To continue to fund my forays into the food world, I am looking for the opportunity to apply myself fervently to other projects in the hope that one day I may find a more stable situation writing about food.
Whether I am offered a chance to guest post on websites, write columns or edit pieces of writing, I am willing to work towards increasing my exposure and developing experience as not only an established critic but as a professional writer.
